The husband and wife are equal, having equal obligations and rights in all family affairs. In a marriage relationship, the husband and wife are equal in terms of rights and obligations as well as personal and property rights.

Regarding personal rights, husband and wife must respect each other’s personal rights and facilitate each other to exercise their rights. The State strictly prohibits husband and wife from mistreatment, tormenting or offending each other’s honor, dignity and prestige. Husband and wife must not force or obstruct each other in their work. The husband and wife have the obligation to respect each other’s right to freedom of belief and religion.
